Eno Umoh - Chairman
Eno Umoh, co-founder of Global Air U and the Global Air Drone Academy, is an influential leader in the drone industry and Chairman of the African Drone Forum. His extensive work in drone technology education has impacted over 18,000 students globally. Following his academy's win at #ADF2020's African Drone Business Competition, Eno established a training center in Lagos, Nigeria.
Eno’s expertise extends to mentoring drone entrepreneurs in business and marketing strategy. He has also led drone business competitions in Nigeria, Zambia, and Kenya through partnerships with the U.S. Department of State. In addition, he has conducted drone workshops in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. Having organized Africa's first drone soccer competition, Eno continues to explore and showcase the vast potential of drone technology, focusing particularly on youth empowerment.
Jonty Slater - Co-Chair
Jonathan Slater, with over 15 years in innovation, leads international development at Challenge Works. He has been instrumental in creating successful innovation programs focusing on climate resilience and energy access. At ADF, his experience in open innovation and ethical business development is pivotal, especially his contributions to ADF 2020.
Ime Umoh - Creative Director
Ime Umoh's journey at Push the Button, a community-driven creative studio, reflects a passion for blending STEM education, drones, and storytelling. With experiences spanning from Nigeria to Harvard University, Ime's work in video production and drone storytelling has impacted various communities and gathered international recognition.
Selina Musau - Membership Engagement Coordinator
Selina Musau, a certified AUVSI drone pilot and STEM educator at Kenya Flying Labs (KFL), serves as a trainer in the Youth and Robotics Department. In this capacity, she designs and delivers interactive drone technology workshops and conducts research on drone use cases. Having emerged winner at the 2022 Kenya Drone Business Competition (KDBC) and graduated from the African Drone and Data Academy (ADDA), her journey in the drone industry is well underway. In her role as the Membership Engagement Coordinator at the African Drone Forum, she is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and valuable community engagement.
Mphatso Kalawe - Data Analyst
Mphatso Kalawe is a Malawian professional with a unique blend of technical and sustainability expertise. She holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering followed by a masters in sustainable development, Mphatso has spent the last two years as a database administrator in the IT field. She co -founded Nkhwazi Aeros, a pioneering drone services company in Malawi.
Mphatso has a profound commitment to leveraging innovative technologies for social good. With a passion for data-driven solutions, Mphatso has embarked on a new journey as a data analyst at the African Drone Forum, where she aims to continue driving positive change through informed decision-making and impactful initiatives.
Cleopa Otieno - ADF East
As a finalist in the ADF 2020 Drone Business Competition and leader of Kenya Flying Labs, Cleopa Otieno is a pioneer in the African drone industry. His contributions reflect a deep commitment to advancing drone technology for practical applications.
Daniel Alayande - Webinar Coordinator
Daniel Alayande is an AUVSI-certified and licensed drone pilot with a passion for leveraging unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to drive innovation and impact. With over three years of dedicated experience in the UAS industry, he has proven his capabilities through successful mission execution and a track record of achievements. He was the third-place winner of the Nigerian Drone Business Competition and is an alumnus of the African Drone and Data Academy.
His proficiency spans across diverse sectors including aerial surveying, agriculture, and industrial inspections, making him a versatile and valuable professional in the drone technology field. As the webinar coordinator for the African Drone Forum, Daniel brings his expertise to the forefront, facilitating discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions that contribute to the advancement of the drone industry in Africa.
